When inlaying a mother of pearl logo do you use thin or medium superglue? |

I flood with thin then give it a shot of GluBoost. |

I've used 24 Hour epoxy , thin CA, med CA and Glu-Boost Fill and Finish. I have also spot CA'ed the inlay, let it cure for a couple of hours then follow with epoxy. In all cases, I added black dye and rosewood sanding dust. 24 hr Epoxy seemed to be the easiest to file/ scrape and sand level. When adding dye to epoxy, mix dye into the resin first before mixing in the hardener. |

Thin if it's a fairly tight fit. Black medium if I'm putting it in black ebony if there are some gaps. Sent from my SM-A526B using Tapatalk |

Sent from my SM-A526B using Tapatalk I most often use G2 epoxy mixed with ebony or rosewood dust. I always seem to have gaps. I make them a hair larger when inlaying into lighter woods so there is an even dark border around my inlays. I might be a little rough, but I'm slow. |

I fit the inlay, rub appropriate dust into it with my finger and hit it with ultrathin Gluboost and accelerator. Block sand and repeat if needed for any small gaps. |

I’m a CNC guy, so my inlays are a light press fit. Once you test fit them it’s almost impossible to get them back out. Wicking in thin CA is the only choice. M |
