| Post subject: | Needto identify source of .023" black wood veneer |
Bought some .023" black wood veneer a few years back and I can't remember where. They are approximately 4" x 8" and .023" thick. The label on each piece says "Luthiers" (in cursive writing) Anybody know the company I bought these from? |

Looks like it is probably Luthiers Merchantile International which is now closed. Their website is still up with a redirect to Stewmac, but you can see the Luthiers script to compare it to your piece. |

I have many things with that “Luthiers” label on it that I bought from LMI. I bought the veneer you describe from them frequently. Woodcraft sells packs of dyed wood veneer that ought to pretty much match what you describe other than the exact size. |

Certainly Wood sells dyed black veneers in a couple of thicknesses. That's where I buy mine. |
