I don't know about uploading photos but you can use a site like https://imgur.com/ to host your photos and then link using BBcode to those photos.

It would look something like this:

Which will display the pic as follows:

If you want to post a photo directly from a computer, click either the blue "new topic" or "new reply" buttons. That opens the advanced editor which has an upload attachments section at the bottom of the page that allows you to browse your computer folders for the image file you want to insert into a post. The image has to be less than 256 kb in size to be uploaded. After it's uploaded, you can use the "place inline" button to put it where you want it in the post.

That 256 kb size limit is the biggest hassle factor for posting from a computer. If the photo is larger than that, you have to downsize it first in another program. I find that photos that are less than about 125 kb usually display at a size that fits the web page so that it can be viewed without having to scroll around.
