I had a problem getting these here in the UK a while back, so I bought some 2mm thick teflon sheet and cut strips of approximately 2.5mm on the bandsaw. Worked well, and cheaper as I recall. Just a thought. Mike |

These don't have to be Teflon; I've made no-stick strips out of polyethylene from old cutting boards. It jst has to be flexible, and not stick to water-based glues. |

Many people use UHMWPe strips rather than teflon. I got a piece several years ago from a skip that has served my needs for years, and recently my wife found a couple of cutting boards that were being tossed out that can also be sawed up into strips. You can buy a 1/2 " X 6" X 36" piece of UHMWPe (commercial cutting board) from TAP plastics for about $25 that will make quite a number of strips: https://www.tapplastics.com/product/pla ... boards/346 Alternatively you can check if the local Walmart might have polyethylene plastic cutting boards in stock (or order a Farberware 11X14 poly cutting board from them for about $6) If you don't mind piecing strips in for purfling spacers. |

Looking closer at the email in your post, I'm guessing you are looking for strips all ready cut, rather than being a hobby builder looking at them for personal use? |

McMaster Carr sells sheets of the material, and if you can find a cabinet shop in Southern Maryland that has a powered laminate slitting machine they may be able to cut it into strips for a reasonable price. |
