I bought 2oz of rainbow mother of shell blanks from The Duke of Pearl.
Pieces average 1-1/2” in diameter, 0.050” thick, 12 pieces. $70.
Both sides are completely flat. Shipping was only $9.00 and I received it in less than a week.
I am super impressed with the quality of shell.

Just wanted to pass along my experience.
