Just received a short sound-clip of a Jumbo/GC I built couple of years ago from the new owner, thought I'd post a link, I have so few. Original composition, no effects or EQ https://soundcloud.com/colin-north-8496 ... rkudbright |

I have a problem. Now I want to donate the guitars I made to a school for the deaf. That just sounds utterly beautiful! |

Sounds really good! Very balanced and clear. The high end has a very nice brightness with no harshness. Was it played bare fingered or with finger picks? |

It sounds great, Colin. You should be proud. It takes a competent player giving a decent performance, recorded with at least OK equipment, using a good recording technique for acoustic guitar, to make a recording that highlights the pleasing tone of the guitar the way this simple recording does. I think guitar builders benefit from looking for chances to make all of those elements come together around their guitars. I occasionally see builder demonstration videos with poor audio, or not great players, or both. It's great to hear an example where all the factors are in the guitar's favor. |

Thanks guys for kind words of encouragement.. He's sold his Lowden F-35 because he was disappointed with it after playing this one, and has bought another of mine. He offered to make another track for me, and I am looking forward to hearing that one when it comes. |
