Hi. I need to buy small Bandsaw. My question. Is mini Bandsaw 8" enough for Neck building. spec: cut depth: 80mm cut width: 195mm titling: 45' thankyou |

Harry I think that an 8" is too small. I have a 9" (and a 14") and my 9" is too small for neck blanks IMO. Can it be done? Sure with some struggle but you are pushing the tool and that can be unsafe. |

I have a 10"/350 watts (0.47 HP) which handles necks blanks well - even Wenge, Padauk (cut from 6"x3"), Mahogany etc. no problem. Also used it to resaw sides. |

I have a 10" Craftsman/Rikon and it handles neck blanks just fine. I just cut a 1 1/2" Ash body blank for an electric, no problems.... |

I did it with a Delta 9". I think it was 1/3hp. It worked, but the cuts needed much clean up. Pat |
