It's a beauty. I'm kind of smitten with the truss rod cover as well. Why is it a hybrid?

Nylon strings, M & T construction but with a narrower neck (48 mm nut) than most classical guitars, and fan bracing.
Basically client was "smitten" by a Taylor 814ce-N the tried years ago, and wanted something similar.

Beautiful!

And yeah that may be the coolest truss rod cover I've ever seen.

That's a nice looking guitar Colin! A hybrid is next on my list after I finish the fan-fret steel string I'm on now.

I'm one of the ones who had no idea what a hybrid is. I'm from Detroit; I think cars. I did see an all electric Mustang Monday in the parking lot at a car show. Doesn't look like a Mustang.

That DOES look like a guitar. A fine one.

I'm thinking many are going to use your truss rod idea. How many ways can it be done?

That Rosewood back looks great. And the whole aesthetic works well.

I’ve been working from the other side. Making steel strings with a wide fretboard - up to 49 mm and as low an action as possible for the finger style player.

I think this crossover type of build is potentially a winner for the small builder as more players want explore different sounds.
