Post subject: | Vacuum forming without pre-bending |
Hi folks, Is it always required to pre-bend when doing laminated sides and / or laminating solid lining? I use paulownia for solid linings and I’m planning to try laminated sides. What is the typical thickness for the veneers for laminated sides? I have an idea of trying to vacuum form the lining and sides all at the same time without pre-bending. I would need to use a vacuum form reduced from the outside mold profile to accommodate. Brad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I have laminated sides without pre bending using 4 layers of veneer .020" thick and wetting it out with West System epoxy. Thicker veneers may require some pre bending. I haven't used vacuum, just a block form and clamps. |
