That is a really nice simple test. Which reminds me I need to do this. I normally use one of those Psychro-Dyne psychrometers but maybe that even needs to be calibrated. |

I would add that you only need to buy a small amount of potassium carbonate. I bought a 4 oz bottle 7 years ago and it's basically a lifetime supply since you can re-use it indefinitely as far as I can tell, especially if you keep it in a small dish in a dedicated tupperware type container like the one Robbie shows in his video. This is what I bought on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Potassium-Carbonate-Powder-Ounces-SHIPS/dp/B00J5SWLK0/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=potassium+carbonate&qid=1624320812&sr=8-14 Also, if you want to be rigorous about the calibration procedure, use distilled water to add to the potassium carbonate in the dish to avoid salts that might be in your tap water that could affect the results. |
