Post subject:  Plane making

Here is another rabbit hole (rebate hole) for those of us "social distancing" (which is somewhat de rigueur for my Hermit like nature)
Stavro Gakos has a number of videos on making various planes and using hand tools. I find I can learn a few new ways to do things - things like sticking a piece of sandpaper to the back of a chisel to sand hard to reach places, or using a solution to blacken the plane blade and chip breaker and spraying a finish on it to reduce rusting. seeing him use a hand cranked pillar drill rather than a motorized version might inspire some hand tool users to seek one out.
I'll post a couple of links here, and others can post some of their favorite plane videos in this thread.

I watched the first one. Never heard of a badger plane. But I like the way it goes swish, and makes thin crisp chips!

Nice work. His hand router is nice too.

Never thought of blowing the blade.
