Here is a simple to make little saw that can be used for a number of small tasks - cleaning fret slots, slicing veneers, trimming brace ends and making flush cuts. it uses a flat half moon blade, stick of wood for the handle, a few neodymium magnets, and a couple of brads cut off and ground flush with the blade. The magnets allow the blade to be flipped over for left or right hand flush cutting. The brads keep the blade from sliding on the magnets and allow it to be repositioned similar to the pins on an oscillating tool |

That is a very nifty idea and design. Have you got a good source for those blades? |

A number of people are making oscillating tools and blades for them. That particular blade came with a variety pack of blades I bought off eBay. Variety packs bring the price per blade down if you have a tool that uses them: https://www.ebay.com/itm/12-Saw-Blade-O ... lgo%3DHOME You can find them individually at Harbor Freight and the big box stores: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Genesis-Uni ... /204675712 |
