Normally I hear fairly modern guitar concertos on modern classical guitars. Yesterday I found this one written in 1822, played on a Terz guitar made in Naples in 1880, and backed by an ensemble on period instruments from the 18th century. It sounds pretty good. Not the norm, but a nice listen. Even the orchestra has a different sound: wooden flutes, less vibrato on the strings.

Enjoy.

Would have been great if not for that awful horn guy who keeps blowing as hard as he can all of a sudden while everything else is quiet. Can't turn the volume up loud enough to hear the good stuff.

It's got to be hard for the orchestra to play soft enough to avoid overpowering the "guitar".

I didn't even notice the.horns! Even listening again. So much for my hearing. My hearing isn't what it used to be. I always turned the volume up.and the treble down. The only way I could get balance. Now y high end isn't as good, but I still listen for the bass line.
OTOH, The cars with the bass booking a quarter mile down the road are very annoying!

It is a plinky sounding little thing isn't it. I like it though.
