I'm getting close to being finished my first guitar. I understand that it is common to leave the action a bit high for a period of time until the guitar settles in. What string height would you use at the 12th fret for an initial setup? |

I don’t. I set the action where I want it .07treble-.09bass, then adjust as necessary. Usually action creeps higher on mine, not lower... |

I agree with Ed, set up the guitar where you want it. You may need to lower the action more as the guitar settles in, as the neck is pulling forward under tension. |
