I'm looking for a small business, mom-and-pop, non-corporate source for some Adirondack mando tops. Anybody come to mind? Thanks, M |

You might try Hampton Brothers Guitar Company in Dandridge, TN. They've sort of picked up where John Arnold and Ted Davis left off. Dave |

Tom Thiel at Northwind Tonewoods cuts a lot of red spruce. |

I don’t know how big they are but I’ve liked the stuff I got from American Tonewood. They cut red spruce in “by god West Virginia” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Brad-- Just to be clear on the terminology: It's "West By God Virginia." |

It is a phrase born of the frustration of a Mountaineer who was mistaken for a resident of the Old Dominion. If you want to get somebody around here riled up, refer to them as being from Virginia. It's a "hold my beer" moment. |

The Hampton brothers (Nathan 29, and Matt 28) fit the description. They have one part time protege, and their dad, a retired elementary school teacher, helps out some. Call/text Matt (606-627-4873) or message them on Facebook or Ebay. No website yet. They have a large stock of WbgV and high elevation NC red spruce (as well as a plethora of other domestic and imported tonewoods). Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk |

I see you've already purchased tops but wanted to sing my praises for the Hampton Bros as well! Matt's excellent to deal with and has a great sense of humor (all of my packages have a hilarious company name). Having learned from John Arnold above you can be assured the product they provide is always exceptional |
