Sycamore back and sides, spruce top, etc. I like the 'violin' type edge look, but don't knock it against anything hard. Thin box, very balanced tone, not too bass. Alan |

that looks nice. I like the violin style overhang too, too bad it can be so vulnerable. One thing that would help is if you used a purfling line then install a binding that overhangs. A hardwood of similar color would be ideal but even a binding of the same top wood would be less prone to splitting along short grain. |

Thanks! It's a square neck, solid lacewood neck, and the heel cap is there because I had problems with the neck angle, and had to cover up a big mess. |
