Post subject:  New Bending Form

Just finished a new bending form for my "D" shape, and it really work out well.
Placed it inside my old Fox style bender, that used to have the light bulbs. Wow, I'd hate to go back to bending with light bulbs.
I have built numerous Slope J's, L-00's, and J-185's, but #35 was my first Martin style D. Here is a video that the new owner sent:

Here's a view from underneath. I left it hollow to cut down on the weight. Left it about 1 1/2" thick.

+1 [:Y:]

I also use them as a laminating form. I glue a piece of HPL to the form to provide a smooth surface to laminate against (I still use wax paper between the veneer being laminated and the HPL).

My first set of sides with the new form. Came out smooth as silk, no wrinkles.
