 Post subject: Short vine inlay

I’d like to do a vine inlay on my current build, but I’d like it to only be about half the length of the board from the sound hole going up. Taylor has a guitar that does something similar I think...
I’m not into cutting my own inlays so I need one precut...
Would a mando inlay serve this purpose? It should I do a full length and just use half of it? I need something that terminates at the top of the design, and lost full length inlays seem to cut off at the nut so they can continue into the headstock
Any insight is appreciated
