I recently saw a YouTube of a young woman playing a guitar that had a small exciter (speaker) attached to the internal back of an acoustic guitar. A piezo and small onboard amp gave the unmistakeable sense that the guitar had “effects”. This seems to be much like the “Tonewood Amp” available but in a MUCH more elegant package. This was a factory option for an otherwise unremarkable Chinese made injection molded plastic guitar. A gimmick, no doubt. But the tinkerer in my was wondering if I could duplicate this. The piezo and internal exciter are no brainers. It’s the internal amp that has me stumped. Can anyone think of an onboard acoustic preamp with built in effects like reverb, delay and chorus that might be used in this application? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I have to say... I’m have a Yamaha that has it built in and wow.... it is REALLY fun to play. I don’t know how to explain it. You just need to experience it. It really is pretty awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

An ad for this came up today when I was looking for a music video. It sounded pretty good. I've never seen or heard it in person. https://www.tonewoodamp.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAn8nuBRCzARIsAJcdIfPEdjDC55fPsTssCPputHQc0RfP5IOKY-2rAbNFQ-y_tDfzKeNPgm4aAv_OEALw_wcB |
