Anybody have any suggestion for humidifying a closet that guitars are stored in?

You might be able to do something passive like we do when we bag & tag guitars with a car wash sponge sitting half way in water in the bottom of the bag. Testing required of course but I would put a calibrated hygrometer in there and then experiment with a bucket of water (only a few inches in the bucket) and a car wash sponge as a wick with half the sponge out of the water. Let it sit over night and check, maybe a second day too so the walls can start to absorb stuff.

You likely don't have any electricity in the closet either so if you could make a passive, wick system work that would not require any AC.

Again testing required, the size of the water source and wick will come into play here too and some kind of anti-bacteria solution so it doesn't get stinky too.
