Not only nut slots, Hesh. Put a diamond abrasive wheel in that puppy and you'll find it's perfect for trimming your nails and flossing your teeth. |

On a similar note, I am thinking of picking up one of these as grocery getter, and for running up to the post office for my guitar related items. May need some driving instruction from Mr Cat. |

If you got careless and dropped that saw in your lap it might slot your nuts pretty quickly. Then you would have to learn to sing castrato in the choir. It is surprising how many people don't take battery powered tools seriously. I was installing some cabinets for a client many years ago and had a Makita battery powered trim saw laying on the floor in the work area when he entered with his toddler. The child picked up the saw and started playing with it, and the father watched the child and seemed totally unconcerned. I quickly retrieved it, before any little fingers were removed. I guess that small bladed battery saw looked like a toy to some people. |

I see it's just a little one for fine adjustments. Initialise slot spacing with a chainsaw? |

And a very good thing to be reminded of Clay in some ways there are additional risks with the battery powered stuff, thanks for this. |

Now that's the best one yet. If you like the work you can tell the Mohel to keep the tip. Oh Ernie, oh Ernie they are making fun of us, again.... |

Many years ago when Mario and Rick used to walk the land on this forum Mario one day posted a pic of one of these indicating that it would be good for neck carving. . So Mario gets the credit for the misuse of power tool thread here, he beat me too it and I have to admit that his choice of tools is scarier than mine. |

You laugh but I bet the engineers over at Stew Mac are already designing a plunge base for that thing |

I haven't been on guitar forums long, so when I read David's bridge removal, I thought of a guy in Ann Arbor I know who makes violins, and talks about using powered disc cutters, chainsaws and saws alls. https://maestronet.com/forum/index.php?/topic/322147-bridge-fitting-combined-with-my-favorite-tool/ |

I've thought it would be pretty cool to have one of these for resawing: Attachment: V8 saw.jpg
