Framus. The bolt on neck done that way is a dead give away. |

I wonder who put the Gibson logo on it. They got a little off track on the "son" letters |

"Horrible wretched POS." Yes, but it looks like a - vintage - Horrible wretched POS. I'll bet somewhere out there is a "collector" of such. |

This was a lower end model , likely late 60's or early 70's. Missing the neck plate on the back to secure the screws properly, very important piece for neck stability! Here is one for sale....https://reverb.com/item/25695937-framus ... neck-plate Add to that the replaced (cheaper than cheap) tuners and fact that the Framus logo is missing it would cost more than it would ever be worth to restore..... Nice examples cane be found all day for under $500. And while some are quite loud they do not have great tone so most players do not want them. Seem to have been popular with college girls of the period based who typically brings them in. |

"Seem to have been popular with college girls of the period based who typically brings them in" Probably a guitar their live in boyfriends left behind. I would think you could find a nice one for under $50 (and maybe for $5) But I am amazed at what some of the old junk brings these days. |
