I haven't tried these clamps yet but they might be worth checking out. The length of the bar should be easy to shorten to a more usable 12"

Cut and paste the link and it works. I've never seen them that cheap that is unheard of. But it makes ya wonder too. It is so cheap it can't hurt to try I suppose. So if ya do, let us know :D

The seller doesn't have the best feedback, so take your chances.

I have bought multiple items from this seller with no complaints. The PEC blems are wonderful tools.

That is a good deal if the clamps are reasonably good. It would be nice to see a comparison between the OP's linked clamp brand and other brands, to include a nicely done homemade clamp. We've been using a mix of Klemmsia, Moose, and Stewmac 4-1/2", 6", and 7-3/4" depth clamps, and I'd volunteer, but I am on hiatis from luthiery activities for the next few months due to family matters.

For what it might be worth, we've had several makes of clamps that were pretty awful, including the Grizzly and some early StewMac clamps (Parkerized steel bar). The best we have used are the German-made Klemmsia - really superior to anything else with very smooth, reliable function, minimal shift from unclamped to full clamping pressure, durable, and about the same price as other branded clamps (available from Amazon Prime and Highland Hardware, or at LMII at higher cost due to the bundled shipping). The US-made Dubuque Clamp 'Miro-Moose' brand cam clamps are the next best with solid function and good durability, and they offer a 6" depth x 8" opening clamp that is ideal for supplemental clamping of bridge wings and belly (Woodcraft and TFWW carry the brand). The current Stewmac cam clamps are decent options, although only the 8" depth clamp - used the least due to size and clamping force - is cheaper than buying the top-of-the-line Klemmsias. The SM clamp is also not offered in the very practical 6" jaw depth size.

That's how much I pay for Taiwanese made cam clamps...

Once you have a go bar setup you won't need half a million cam clamps anyways so that saves you a lot of money.

I have tried several cheap cam clamps and none work as well as Klemmsia or Pinnacle (woodcraft) cam clamps. I know the good ones cost $20+ each - but it's worth it.

I have a bunch of the USA made Miro Moose cam clamps and they work great for me. At $15 each it's hard to complain.

I have purchased from Taylor Tools perhaps 4-5 times and have always gotten first rate merchandise and very quick delivery. In fact I needed a certain rule that he did not list on his very copious listing and he apologized, found he had it, and sent it right out.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/taylortoolworksllc/m.html?item=151515185414&pwid=taylortoolworksllc&hash=item2347024106%3Ag%3Ag1kAAOSwAL9UjlaS&fol=343ceda6bc48a0180de8de5a7168828cead4c272c8166819578c76bf97606ae6&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

The quality of the clamps will not be in question, but as has been said, how well they work might be - worth a try for $9.99 for 2. The bars are easy to cut off to the length you need. Drill a hole in the cut end the right size for a short piece of copper wire - 12 or 14 gauge - and peen both ends to make a rivet that keeps the movable jaw from falling off the end.
