The battery pack of my LR Baggs Anthem doesn't want to stay in place. Saturday night I decided to ditch the factory adhesive in favor of double stick tape and still no luck. It was jostling around inside the body during a rehearsal Sunday morning. I'm installing it in the upper left shoulder of the guitar. Right shoulder is a cutaway. My thoughts have been to (a) stop trying to defy gravity by adhering it to the side of the right lower bout, and/or (b) try some kind of mechanical bond like a magnet instead of adhesive (just not sure if magnets will mess with the battery or signal). |

I use gel superglue to hold the velcro to the inside of the guitar. |

I’ve installed a whole bunch of these, but rarely stuck to the guitar side, rather to the back or neck block. The LR Baggs pressure-sensitive adhesive is pretty aggressive — has to be to stay in place while separating the Velcro. I suspect the curved surface of the side might be at least part of your issue. I assume you cleaned the mounting surface? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Once I started "finishing" my neck blocks with CA, no issues with velcro sticking to it. |

I always install on the side and never had a problem. You do need to blow out the area, wipe it down with a tack rag and clean it with denatured alcohol. |

You have GOT to clean the area completely with DNA and let dry. Problem is worse with oily woods. Clean, then clean again. Let dry. Then do not let your fingers touch the area. I have successfully attached to coco and African Blackwood using this approach. |
