Saw a video on the current Gibson acoustic assembly line. The guy binding the heads had a commercial heat gun running pointed up in a holder. He waved the long binding piece over the heat gun, pressed it into its position on the head until it cooled, then used this file jig to adjust the joint at either end. Very simple. Just a reasonably tight fitting groove that the file runs in. Ed |

Joe I think if you can find a file with machined teeth it would do a great job. Notice how he flipped the file over a couple of times - he must be using a single cut file. Ed |
