I wanted to install a K&K Classic pickup without the need to drill into the saddle slot for locating pins. I used magnets instead. I saw the idea for this jig on YouTube and made a few improvements. I was a little overzealous with the glue, but otherwise it worked great. The top plate indexes off the saddle slot. The hole for the plunger dowel that places the transducer is drilled 1/64th too large to allow the dowel to slide but stiff enough to keep the wire oriented the way I wanted. Maybe the idea will help you with other jigs. http://youtu.be/7-WsBqGqQ_E http://youtu.be/lm4WVzHaujM Brad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Great idea, Brad, and very timely. I was just talking with a friend about ways to install one of these. |

Slick! I haven't had to install one of the classical K&Ks that lack the pin holes for referencing. I'll keep this one in my mind for the future. |
