So, I’m building 10 or 11... I don’t know, and I’m to the point that I’ve planes down the bindings enough so that they are close enough to the top to use a scraper, I’m afraid of gouging with a plane edge...

One issue I’ve ALWAYS had is how to HOLD the body securely as I do this a troji solved the issue for holding it on end, but I still hadn’t figured it out (I can be dense) as far as the top and back go.

Well.... I use a radius dish. To use the dish I have a pipe in the middle of a plywood sheet that I can move around easily . It just clamps to the table. On each of my molds I have holes drilled in the corners and on the plywood so I can insert dowels and hold things still while I radius.

Duh... just put the body back in the mold and tack it down to the plywood sheet...
done

Why do the simple solutions escape me for so long haha.
Anyway. I hope this helps another noob out:)
Peace

Here ya go. Build one of these holders and a guitar vise with pipe clamps, threaded base plates, and cork lined 1/4” plywood. Easy to do and it will simply your life enormously, especially scraping bindings.

Pretty much same idea as what I use, simple and works well.
