A Gibson 57 Country Western came in for repair and it is in brought shape. Owner, at one time, had sanded the bridge down to compensate for a much needed neck reset. I have been searching for a left hand reverse pin belly up bridge. Anyone know where I can get one. |

You might consider contacting Allparts to ask if they have a stock left hand version of their offered reverse belly bridge, but I doubt you will find a left-handed one, and even more doubtful they would have it in Brazilian rosewood. A custom bridge is an option as the link below reveals, but at close to $60 (and likely more in BRW), an expensive one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Gibson-B25-Bridge-Replacement-Polished-Rosewood-Gorgeous-Custom-Bridge/301046309465?hash=item4617c22259:g:TgoAAOxyRhBSsJTp:rk:5:pf:0 These bridges are of course quite easy to make with a 2" diameter sanding drum or spindle sander and some way to mill the saddle slot (see the related current thread). The original would serve well as a template, and Brazilian rosewood blanks of proper size can be had on auction sites for reasonable price. The Gibson bridges are not nearly as challenging to make as the Martin 1930's or 1940's belly bridges, and much simpler than the various pyramids. |

Another option might be to fill the saddle slot on a right handed bridge and route a new one. |

I actually just replaced the plastic bridge on an old LG-1 with an Allparts rosewood bridge. The pin holes happened to be in the correct place relative to the footprint and were the correct spacing but the saddle was not. I filled the slot and routed a new one in the correctly intonated location for right hand, it would be easy to do a lefty (the pin holes were in a straight line). I did a little write up at the repair sub forum, there are several good suggestions there viewtopic.php?f=10137&t=51212 (I miss labeled the thread J-45 because thats what the owner told me).
