I just did My son asked me if I was hurt I just thicknessed this sapelle plate for a back. Nothing special. Then I tapped it. And for the first time I heard an amazing rap tone... rings for days. It’s also fairly thick at .093” I’ve never built a back that thick but I think I’ll leave it as I fear I’ll miss something if I take it further... Same here. Pretty much a finished thickness in the center and that's on a Grand Concert...never yelled though. Had a Hormigo back and three white oak that made me whistle, and 2 BRW's that made me say " Oh, my..." |

I did get a bit of a fright from my first Adi top when I tapped it after closing the box it was so loud. |

I only yell at the completed boxes. 3/32nd is about normal for most backs. |
