I realize they’re sponsors and all, but I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with HMT since Shane left.

I know he could be maddening to deal with, but he had very high standards, and I was hoping he’d passed them along to the new owners.

Thanks in advance

Steve

Steve,

I've had good dealings with them. Will order from them again.

Pat

I had some quality issues during the transition 4 years ago, but have not used them recently

Ed, that is a spectacular top indeed!
To clarify, I have used HMT tops since 2009.
The previous orders under Shane (when they eventually arrived) were mostly exceptional, and the resulting guitars sound amazing.
The last batch I was disappointed in, and was originally purchased over 4 years ago, during the transition to the new owners.
I have only begun digging into this batch now, and am a little frustrated by all the tops I am having to discard due to branch shadow lines and pitch pockets.

I will continue to buy from HMT, assuming they have sorted the grading issues I encountered.

I have ordered a couple of tops and a bunch of bracewood and have gotten exactly what I wanted. No issues at all.

I've dealt with them regularly over the past few years (mainly for bracewood). Happy with the product! They are having a problem with their website right now that doesn't let you use the contact form or order online. Email Leanne highmountaintw@hotmail.com and she should be able to help you out. I know they are working to get the problem with the website corrected.
