I've been looking at this, on paper, and as I built the box. for too long.
My first "own design" body shape, just throwing it open for thoughts/opinions.
20" long, upper bout 12 1/8". lower bout 16 1/8"

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

It’s a nice shape. I like it.
Have you investigated availability of a suitably sized case?

Who you callin Fat boy...?!

It's a nice shape. You can always massage it a bit later if you find it lacking somehow.

Yup, most dread cases seem about right.
