I’ve been building for a year and around 4 months, but this captured moment is by far my favorite....
I just had to share
She was exploring the ginormous pores in this wenge back....

Hopefully she won't encounter the ginormous splinters wenge is famous for.
Nice picture.

Earlier this year my six year old daughter came out to my shop and announced that she would help. She grabbed a horsehair brush and began pushing sawdust around. She was “cleaning”. All the while tut-tutting that it was a good thing she was there, my shop was a mess!

Moments that make everything else disappear.

My daughter (turning 24 soon) never showed much interest in the building process while she was growing up, but she enjoys playing the guitar her dad built for her, and her friends who play all really like the guitar, too. Our common interests focus on art, books, theater, music, movies, that sort of stuff. Find those common interests (whatever they are) and foster them. Girls grow up, and you will appreciate having some common ground when they do.
