Good Day! Just ready to shoot nitro on a Tiger Myrtle L-00. This wood appears non porous and doesn't look like it would require grain filler. But it never hurts to ask. Does anyone have any experience finishing this lovely wood? Thanks! |

I used it once on an electric bass and yeah it was not porous at all. I just went right into finishing it. I believe I was using KTM at the time. It was a long time ago but I still have some left over chunks of the stuff. |

No pores Danny. I use it in lots in my ukes. You can treat it much like Maple. |

I pore fill it. Some sets have more pores than others. I use a dark brown fill and the contrast looks great. Do a test on a cutoff and see how you like it. |

Thanks all! It's such pretty wood! Want more! This set was from back in the day of OLF annual swap and shop. I picked it up for diddly. I miss those days! |
