We had Dannyv and his sweety, Monica, in town for a couple of days. It's always a pleasure meeting and geeking out with a fellow instrument maker. We managed to spend a few hours in the shop, and took a trip out to Edensaw Woods to poke around the stacks. I'm looking forward to getting up to Powell River for a visit in the fall. |

Just back in Canada and want to give a huge thanks to our most gracious hosts Mike and Karen. And for the use of their "cabin" ![]() Like Michael says, it's really a pleasure to see how other people are doing it. He does amazingly clean work and is making some beautiful and very responsive guitars with flowing design. And great to get a practical introduction into the world of CNC. Mike has a tidy set up and is dialled into. I could see it becoming a part of my future. Another highlight. Got to spend a couple hours with Bruce Krebs of Notable Tonewoods on Lopez Island. A purveyor of Koa and other woods and a great guy. Picked out 3 lovely Koa sets. It was great to have him select for me. Quartered, and very beautiful and NO STINKING SHIPPING! Looking forward to seeing you soon Michael ![]() |
