I was in Klingpours the other day and saw these Kutzall rasps. Anybody used them? Suitable for necks? ...or not really?

I have no experience with them but I will say that my StewMac dragon rasps arrived Friday and I'm THRILLED with them. Twice the price of these but I'm literally throwing my old rasps in the trash if someone doesn't snag them off of Ebay.

That's quite an endorsement Joey... What sizes did you get?

I got the 2 large ones for now- one large fine and one large course. I tested the fine cut one out on some flamed mahogany and the cut is a world better than my old one which I now literally have no use for. I don't really see a need for the small ones but if and when I do I'll order those as well without hesitation. I'm curious to see how it compares to a Liogier, but I don't see myself ordering one of those any time soon with my shopping list as long as it currently is.

If I were to buy only one, which one, course or fine, should I get for necks? I've been considering buying one of those... I'm sure they are both nice, but I'd like to start with one.

If I had to choose one I'd probably choose the fine cut. It's cuts pretty quickly though of course not as fast as the course but it leaves a nice smooth finish that can quickly be finished off with sandpaper. It looks nothing like the surface left behind from my old ones- they needed a lot of sandpaper cleanup.
