An old friend of mine has been making video/audio podcasts and came out to my shop to do a Wide Sky edition. Talking about building, the days of trying to make it as a musician and other stuff. Being camera is not my comfy place but Aaron made it a bit easier. Here are some links if you're interested...

Patch--

First, congrats on the attention. I'm likewise envious of your shop and your building success.

Second, please pass along my compliments to Aaron for a job well done on the bulk of the podcast. I think he did a good job of allowing folks to peek into your world in an interesting, but relatively low key, way. Very enjoyable.

Third, I want to pass along the slightest bit of constructive criticism to Aaron. I think it is best encapsulated by this scene from the movie Easy A:

The first several minutes of the video are spent watching Aaron wake up early, drive through lots of traffic, stop for gas, etc. The end of the video does the same thing, albeit in a more abbreviated fashion. Does any of this really need to be documented for posterity? Probably not. Just an opinion. Maybe it's a generational thing (I'm a bit older than you and he). But, like I said, I enjoyed the substantive part.

Thanks for sharing your shop, that was neat to see.

Not guitar related - that rig you built yourself is outstanding.

I don’t know if it’s the same thing or not, but I used to go see The Advent do live PA’s back In the early 90’s. They were building tracks in real-time. If that is what you did, kudos. Watching The Advent was some of the most impressive art I’ve ever seen performed live.

Hi Patch, great interview! I like your uncluttered shop with that big window and nice view. Looks like a great work environment.

Good idea with the window on the Bender. It's always annoying looking for that dark line on the edge of the dark wet side when the clock is ticking.

Thanks for looking and for the shop envy. It seems like a never ending process, trying to get this garage into a functioning shop. This spring I’m hoping to add some more power as well as 220 and insulate the floor.

Don, I see what you are saying, I think what Aaron is trying to do is tell a story and not just have it be an interview.

Brad, I haven’t heard of The Advent but that sounds pretty similar to what we were doing as well.

Pat, yea, that window on the bender helps for sure!
