Recently I put up some of my best wood for sale in the classifieds section to raise some cash to pay the server bill.
I have managed to sell 2 sets. Many thanks to those two buyers. Everything helps!

Seems like this comes up every year. I'd be willing to pay a small annual fee, but I guess that's sort of how I see the classifieds.

I was just investigating if Ukulele Underground had Tapatalk. They don't and the reason why is Tapatalk takes all the ad Revenue when people are using it on their mobile, but they still rely on the cites server. I love Tapatalk and is probably the main reason why I am on here so much. It makes it much faster. I wonder if there is any movement to spread that love a little...

Pat, drop a dollar a month on the Patreon maybe? It comes right out of my Paypal every month. I do $5, but you can do as little or much as you want.

Hopefully Lance will correct me if he'd rather not have folks use the Patreon. I like it because it just happens, no need to remember to renew or do it each month. Perfect for forgetful folks like me.

Well I had not renewed my classifieds subscription in an attempt to stop shopping; but Lance needs help so I'm back in.
A couple times now I have read about Lance selling his woods to keep the site afloat and thats just not right.

Maybe a little more openness on server costs and upkeep in order to make people aware of what it takes to keep this site running?
Perhaps using a phpBB extension that accepts donations via PayPal and gives real-time donation/goal progress might work better?
This keeps things in plain view on every visit to the site.
