Fill out the forms and pay the fee? Is there a long waiting period? What kind of chain of possession documents are they going to want?

For importing to the US.

It seems over the years that the administration varies from each agent, though it probably should not. You should probably contact a USDA APHIS office, which I think is administering this. Whatever you find out, it could change so update your information periodically.

I currently have APHIS researching what I can do with my wood that I have acquired over the years which has since been added to the list.

Recently, in the LA APHIS office I happened upon a Taylor rep certifying a batch of guitars for export.
