This might get some laughs but I figured I'd ask anyway. I need a bridge for my little Oahu acoustic I've been fixing up. I had shelved the project since March but now I've got the time to finish it. I have tried to make a bridge 5 times and I'm frustrated to death with it, I don't have the proper tools or skills to pull this off. I don't need anything special, just a rectangle bridge, no intonation, just flat like for a lap steel. My real problem is that I don't have a saddle slotting jig, doing it by hand always looks pathetic and I can never get it straight. At this point I can't afford a new router and the jig. I can pay you for your time, I'm ready to just get this thing done and playing again. I can send measurements/specs. Help a guy out? |

Dan some things that would be helpful for those wanting to help are: 1). String spacing 2). Height of bridge for optimal height of saddle and current neck angle 3). what is the fret board wood Dave - good on ya!!! |

The guitar is a squareneck so the projection is way different than a regular round neck. Almost no projection whatsoever. 1. 2 5/16ths 2. 3/8" 3. Fretboard wood is (was) dyed maple, I'm planning on making a replacement from ebony. |

Dan, Here’s what I have for you. I can profile and finish sand too but thought you might want to do those steps. Let me know if this will work. |

The bridge arrived in the mail yesterday. It'll work exactly as needed. Thanks Dave for your generosity! |
