Post subject:  Pore Fill Question

I'm working on a very curly Narra B&S set right now and I was wondering what the better way to bring the figure out would be. It's very, very porous. so after sanding the pores are filled with dust. I am going to use West Systems Epoxy to pore fill hopefully later tonight. Is it better to seal the dust in with epoxy or to blow all the dust out with an air compressor before sealing. I'm thinking without dust would be better but it wouldn't be the first time that I've been wrong and it won't be the last!

When I fill with epoxy, I clean the pores with compressed air first.

I just use a tack rag to remove the dust at that stage, don't like blowing it into the shop.
Not at all sure about leaving the dust in the pores at all, might result in epoxy "bridging" them.
I like to get the epoxy right into the pores as best I can personally.

Definitely get rid of the dust. I've found a microfibre cloth works well.

Can also look fine without a pore fill:
