Seems like for personal use there really is not much of an issue. Of course here on OLF it's a different crowd. I've got a vintage BRW guitar I have been thinking about selling, not sure where that stands at thsi point.

You can sell it. Just tell the owner to not cross and International border without getting the passport first.
