I always enjoy the transformation that happens with the first coat of finish. This one seemed worth sharing.

Purdy! I've always been amazed at dyed or sunburst dyed instruments. They look positively dull, awful until you get enough varnish on them. All of a sudden, you can see down into the wood for miles...and we weren't even talking about the other half of the change...tone. |
