Hey everyone. I wanted to share a few pics of the prototype case I just received from Ameritage. This was the prototype and will be used as the model that all of my future cases are based on. I began the process about 9 weeks ago and it showed up at my door yesterday. Nancy at Ameritage has been super helpful and held my hand through the entire process. I went with a Gold Line model with Navy exterior, Grey velvet interior, Nickel Hardware, and brown trim. They then took my logo and embroidered it onto the outside for me. This case will now be included with all of my guitars and I couldn't be happier with my entire experience. The lead time is long, but if you take that into account, you can use it to your advantage and have it show up in the last phases of a build. If my memory serves me, I think Ameritage used to be a sponsor on this forum. I hope I'm not violating any code of ethics in this post. I just wanted to share my review and experience with the group.

Beautiful case Chris. Ameritage made some custom cases for me about 5 years ago. They do a fantastic job. I just order 3 cases at a time when needed.

I went with a simple logo design. Seeing yours I wish I would have been more bold. Well done

Yes. I could nap in there. Your guitars are worthy of that case Chris.

Michaeldc, I'll be paying between $425 and $325 a case depending on quantity. Not exactly cheap, but these are amazing cases and at my price point, people expect a great case. I just pass that cost on to my clients and everyone is happy.

Looks like a nice case. Having a logo embroidered on the exterior doesn't appeal to me, but that's just a personal preference.

Thanks for the response.

That seems like a reasonable price to me. I paid $800somthing for my last custom Calton and it took 5 months to get it. The Calton is a tougher case I'd think but for half the $$$ the Ameritage is pretty sweet!

Best, M

Looks great. Do your customers ever complain about the weight? It's a hefty item to be taking to gigs and getting in and out of your car. I had some complaints along that line from clients in the past and gravitated towards Cedar Creek.

I've used Ameritage cases for many years and now sadly order them only occasionally since (like you stated) most customers don't like the weight. I ordered four fiberglass cases from china about 6 weeks ago as an experiment, if they're as good as they look in the advertising I'll order more. Unfortunately the Chinese cases take 2 1/2 months from time of order to delivery. One of the big selling points is they come with shoulder straps which is another thing a large number of customers want. I wish I could buy something like this made in USA without spending big bucks.

Wow, real nice case, how much did the custom embroidery add to the cost?
