Wow! Very nice. A very cool guitar. Do you have any soundclips of it? Did you have an original to plan off of? This is a very cool guitar that you don't often see plans for. You made some very tasty choices for this guitar. Is that a clear pick-guard or just the lighting/reflection? 13 fretter? |

Very nice! Did you shoot the burst, or is it rubbed? |

Thanks, it was fun to build. As far as a plan is concerned I started with a template from David Wren and then picked up the GAL Plan #6 '20s Gibson L-0 Guitar which has an H bracing pattern. I wanted and used an X brace pattern from a photo of a 1928 or so L-1 top. I used a 24 1/4 inch scale length and adjusted the X slightly to fit 13 frets to the body. The bridge was more or less centered between the upper transverse brace and the tail block. With the short scale length I set it up with medium strings. |

Nice job, Ron. Really nice. The burst is outstanding. Are you happy with the sound? Love to hear any clips, if you have them. |

I personally love the '28 shape. Recognizing that I think going with a 13 or 14 fret neck even improves the look. Much nicer than the 30's squished lower bout. The 20's had a unique look, the Gibson look, but the 30's were poorly done copies of Martin. |
