Are you going to use it again for top purfs? I just install the lines and ablam at the same time and don't use teflon. I just figure if I'm going to inlay the teflon I might as well just inlay the ablam. But you could also wax some lines and use use them as spacers along with the teflon you have as a possbility. Or cut some teflon strips to size. Or thin the Ablam stips to the teflon size.
Hope this gives you ideas.

You might check out my tut but I bind the guitar first and then inlay the purfs and lines. You probably could glue the strips on edge to a backer board with titebond and then thickness sand them all at once if you have some kind of small thickness sander or possibly a spindle sander with a fence setup. Then soak the board in a bucket of water and the pieces will lift off after a bit. Just a thought.
Back for good from the road, long story short, it didn't work out. Looking for a job now.

You can rip your own filler strips from polyethylene sheet (HDPE). Your table saw has to be well set up and you have to keep it moving or it wants to melt. But it works. http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.a ... &catid=705
