I finished these a few weeks ago. Never got around to posting them, so here they are! Jumbo model, Honduras mahogany B&S, Red Cedar top, Port Oxford cedar neck, cocobolo rosette end wedge and head plate, maple bindings and headstock backing, Madagascar rosewood bridge and fretboard. OM model, Cocobolo B&S, Carpathian Spruce top, Spanish cedar neck, masur birch rosette and end wedge, Indian rosewood bindings, ziricote bridge and fretboard, and cocobolo headplate with tiger inlay. |

Beautiful work, Ellison! I love the tiger inlay...very nicely done. How do you like the PO cedar as a neck material? Was it easy to work with? Also, is it natural or did you stain it? I've thought about using it for a better color match to go with myrtle back and sides. |

Thanks for the positive replies, folks! Yeah, I'm extremely happy with the OM. It's a great looking little guitar. It's only been strung up for a couple weeks, so the sound is still slowly opening up. It's really going to be a nice fingerstyle instrument, but isn't the best right now when played with a pick. The jumbo isn't the most exciting thing to look at, but it sounds pretty incredible. It's such a big powerful sounding instrument! Charlie, the port oxford cedar was great to work with! Bladed tools worked well and it sanded very nicely. The smell is nice too! I didn't stain it, and it really is very white. It has a coating of shellac on it which may give it a very slight amber tint, but unfinished it is a spruce-like white. |

Port Orford you of course mean. I have one of these trees in my backyard. Never thought of using it for a neck though. Nice work. Are those grover tuners? |
