Hi! I'm wondering if anyone knows who makes bridge pins if I was to send them a piece of wood to have them made from, preferably in Canada as the wood is BRW. Any help would be appreciated! Cheers Richard |

Contact Burton LeGeyt, he makes bridge pins and tuner buttons of great quality. If you don't want to send your Braz to the US I am sure he can find a matching piece. http://legeytguitars.com/ |

You can make them yourself. I have a benchtop drill press which I just tip on its side. Then I chuck a a small piece of wood into the press, set the speed to its highest, set up a wood tool rest, grab a sharp chisel or gouge ( I prefer chisels ) and in half an hour you can have a set of bridge pins. I occasionally laminate pieces of different colors to make funky looking bridge pins. You can also make bone pins. It takes some practice to get all pins exactly alike. And of course, they're not that expensive to buy either. But this is an interesting exercise. |
