For those of you who think that X-bracing is for sissies... (I'm joking) Brazilian RW and German Spruce Selmer copy, Amazon RW binding, BRW/maple/ebony rosette, curly English walnut neck, solid linings, Seagrave/McFaddens finish... Guitar has taller late-Selmer arching with a real pliage (heat bent crease in the top right behind the bridge). The only place where I deviated from the original Selmer design was in the solid back and sides (very few Selmers had solid-wood back and sides. Most were laminated) and the neck is not the traditional baseball bat. It is thinner and has a double acting truss rod but it does have the characteristic "D" cross-sectional shape of Selmers. Other than that, it is spot on... Still in process of setting it up, but it sounds great and it is very loud. Thanks for looking, Peter Z |
