My brother recently got a hammer dulcimer and I wanted to make him some nice hammers for Christmas. I made some for him real quick because he forgot his when he visited, but they were based off of a picture and not a pattern. They turned out ok, but I would like to make some proper ones. So, does anyone know where I can find a proper pattern or dimensions? thanks John |

Every hammer dulcimar maker, and every player, seems to have a favorite pattern, and to regard most others as useless at best. There is no single 'true, right, and holy' pattern for dulcimer hammers. |

I have no idea if it will print out at the correct size and ratios. Good luck! http://www.pattonblades.com/hammers.jpg Hope this is helpful... |
