I bought what I think is a beautiful piece of amazon rosewood for my back and sides, got it from allied, very happy with it. I am wondering if anyone knows how well it bends (I will be doing by hand with a bending iron), and how thin I could go on the back and sides. And also if anyone has used it for their builds, what do you think of the sound properties? Thanks

EDIT: I also forgot to ask, would you use titebond or epoxy to join the back?

it bends niclely (but slab sawn sides can be a little unstable) and clues well.
its not as oily as some of the other other rosewoods but this can obviously vary from peice to peice.
its one of my fave rosewoods i likie it alot and i am making a guitar with some lovely quarter sawn stuff at the moment.

You should probably take it thinner than what you are used with Indian or other rosewood. I have a few sets and all are incredibly heavy.

All I know is that I've recently acquired a set and that it taps beautifully

It bends well. I think you would be ok with either glue. I generally use epoxy on rosewood backs, but I am sure tightbond or LMI white would work fine.
